Sister Lucy Visits Tacoma

Sister Lucy Kurien, a Holy Cross Sister from India, returned to the Tacoma area to share her experiences about rescuing women and children from the streets of India. Over the past 20 years, she has established 43 homes and served close to 39,000 mothers and children and now men.

Catherine Place and the Tacoma Dominicans hosted her for a morning of conversation at St. Patrick’s Parish in Tacoma. The Associates publicized, organized and served as hostesses for the event. Sister Lucy’s visit was one of many justice events undertaken by the Associates.
